I had the down arrow with a line under it and now the briefcase with a checkmark in it and I see from the chart what those symbols mean. But I didn’t deliberately download anything.

I don’t think I want downloading to take place without my specific request. I do not have a data package on my phone, only wifi, but this continued when I went for a walk outside, no longer connected to wifi.

How can I find out what data was downloaded to my phone?

    Thanks for any help.

what does EN in status bar of my android mean? started appearing only when i would type anything. now, its there all the flippin time and no one seems to know what it is? can someone help me, please?

The “EN” means that you are using English language keyboard and that you can select a different language for instance FR = french, if you set your keyboard to English only that should go away.
Go to Settings > Controls > Language and input and set Keyboards settings.
