How To Take Screenshots On Your Mac

In this post I’m going to show you how to take screenshots with your Mac.

You have 2 options when taking a screenshot.

First of all, you can, of course, take a full screen shot, meaning a screen shot of everything you see on the screen.
To do this you need to push these buttons down simultaneously:
cmd+shift+3
The image will be saved on your desktop as a file, with a name that contains the time and date when it’s taken.

Secondly you can take a screenshot of a specific part of the screen.
To do this you shall push these buttons down simultaneously:
cmd+shift+4
When done you’ll get a new icon instead of your mouse. Now just click and drag your mouse over the area that you wish to take a screenshot of. As with the other “type of screenshots” the file will also contain the time and date of capture.
